Farms of Amador/Amador Farmers Market

Amador county is home to over 376 farms that cover 60 percent of its 363,500 acres. Over 6,000 acres of grapes were harvested in 2015, including Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and many more.

Cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens and goats are also raised on local farms and contribute over 12 million dollars to the local economy.

Amador County farmers grow fruit and vegetables including peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, celery, peas, beans, quinces, figs, strawberries, blackberries and pumpkins and walnuts. There are many olive orchards in the county that produce a variety of olives and high quality olive oil and flower growers provide a wide variety of specialty cut flowers for local events, weddings and farmers markets.

Farms of Amador is a countywide marketing and education organization whose mission is to increase the sales of local agricultural products.
Amador County produce is proudly sold by local farmers at the Amador Farmers Markets and through the Mother Lode Harvest CSA.
